USC News: Trojans Land 4-Star Quarterback Jaxson Dart

USC has been busy these past couple of months recruiting all the talent they need to compete in the years to come. It hasn’t been all good news for the Trojans as they lost a commitment from Jake Garcia earlier in the year and they answered with the recruiting of Mission Hills QB Miller Moss. However, the school didn’t stop there as the reports have come in that 4-star QB Jaxson Dart has also committed to USC.

Jaxson selected USC over rival UCLA, ASU, and BYU. That gives Southern California a pair of 4-star QBs who will be the future of the program. Kedon Slovis will still be under center during the 2021 season, but he will become eligible for the NFL Draft following the end of the season. That opens up the door for the duo to compete for the starting gig.

Dart, who is from Draper, Utah, is a very accurate passer with a quality arm. He’s also athletic enough to move outside the pocket and seize extra yards on the ground if necessary. One thing he could improve on his ability to read the defense before snaps. 247Sports projects him as a future NFL Draft pick as well as a multi-year starter. The competition between Dart and Moss should be fierce. May the best man lead the Trojans to victory.
