USC Football: Jarrid Williams Names USC in Top 5 Schools after Entering Transfer Portal

The offensive line is still an area of need for the Trojans in 2020, but help could be on the way. Houston tackle, Jarrid Williams, named the Trojans in his top 5 schools as he looks to transfer for next season. As the only West Coast school featured on the list (Ole Miss, Florida State, Baylor, and Miami), it’s definitely not because of a location preference.

This has USC’s new recruiting program written all over it, as they look for solid and dependable players to build around the pieces they already have. Williams, a 6’7″ beast, had a redshirt year last season after starting the first 4 games. The previous year, however, he was one of the most dependable pass protectors in the AAC. Just look at the protection he gives in the clip below (the right tackle).

While he was not a highly regarded high school prospect, he has made a name for himself after taking advantage of his playing time at Houston. Let’s see if this powerhouse recruiting team can bring another one home.
