Rams News: Gurley Still Waiting On Money From LA, Threatens Former Team

Well, it looks as if former Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley still hasn’t been paid his money owed from his former team.

Earlier today, Gurley was a guest on the Uninterrupted podcast with Jimmy Spencer and let everyone know that his former team, the LA Rams, still hasn’t paid his money owed. Gurley also made a pretty clear threat to the Rams if his money isn’t paid soon:

“I don’t know what their reason is. … They know they have to pay me too. Apparently probably just using the COVID thing as an excuse. They probably ain’t go no money to be paying nobody. They’ve got that stadium being built right now. All I know is, come June 1, I better have my money.”

Both Gurley and Clay Matthews were released the same day on March 19, minutes apart from each other. Matthews is still owed money from the Rams as well but has yet to say anything regarding Gurley’s recent comment.

It seems to me that Gurley is still a bit salty from being released by the Rams. Making demands like this seems childish as well as attention-seeking. I’m sure like many fans probably agree with me, Gurley is not stressing for a payout.

On April 15th, LA Rams General Manager had stated “They’re definitely owed money. That money is guaranteed. We’re going to pay them. There’s some language in the contract of exactly when you pay them, and that’s what we’re adhering by. What I do know is both Clay and Todd earned that money and they’re going to get that money.”
