It’s no secret that the Rams have a lot of improvement to do if they want to be serious contenders this upcoming season. Most of that improvement will have to come from the draft with no cap space to speak of.
LA has been busy looking at various prospects that they could potentially see in the later stages of the draft, including Colorado’s Davion Taylor.

Taylor has exceptional speed for a LB and is a physically gifted athlete. But while he has flashed plenty of potential during his time at Colorado, he is still a very raw prospect. He has earned rave reviews from his former coaches and teammates, which lead to believe that he is at least very coachable and should adapt well to the next level.
If the Rams are truly interested in Taylor, he should be available on Day 3 and is the type of prospect you look for in that area of the draft. He is a great athlete who still needs to work on his technique but has the potential to be an impact starter in 2 or 3 years. The worst-case scenario would be that he moves to special teams in the short term while he finds his rhythm.
The Rams lost virtually all of their linebackers this past offseason, making this the one area on defense that they absolutely need to address in this draft.
