Rams News: Rams Center Tested Positive For COVID-19, First NFL Player To Do So

Los Angeles Rams Center Brian Allen had tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, and is the first NFL player to do so. Allen was diagnosed with the virus last month, but has stated that he is now symptom free.

First reported by FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer, Allen had personally told him that he tested postive 3 weeks ago and again last week. Glazer said the following after speaking with Allen:

“(He) Lost all smell and taste to where he couldn’t even smell an ammonia smelling-salt. Has no taste. Then the flu began. Says he’s now finally symptom-free and thankfully expecting the “all clear” this week! “

Allen is the first NFL player to test positive for coronavirus but joins a long list of profesional athletes who have been infected such as NBA’s Kevin Durant, New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton, and former MLB player Jim Edmonds.
