Lakers News: LeBron and Hollywood, All of James’ Current and Future Projects

As great as his play is on the basketball court, it’s possible that LeBron’s true talent lies in Hollywood. The Laker forward has been busy ever since signing with the Lakers, and he’s showing no signs of stopping.

As we speak, James is currently engaged in or planning for multiple productions, all while training for a potential return for the NBA this season. We don’t blame you if you haven’t been able to keep up with all of his projects, they’ve all been announced so quickly. Instead, we’ve summarized them all for your convenience. Let’s break them down.

Sign Language  – Quibi Docu-Series

Lebron and his media team have set out to shed more light on the Astros’ cheating scandal. Just last week, Quibi announced the collaboration of the documentary-style short series. In this series, the hope is to explore even larger themes beyond the sign-stealing, diving deep into the scheme behind the stolen World Series Title. There is no expected release date as of yet, but knowing LeBron, this series should be a hit. Let’s hope it makes those Houston cheaters squirm a bit.

Greatness Code – Apple TV+ Series

Wednesday morning, Apple announced a new series for its streaming service that is set to feature an All-Star cast. Greatness Code will feature some of the top athletes in the world, including the likes of LeBron James and Tom Brady. The series will focus on pivotal moments that led to the rise of these athletes, in essence, what makes them great. Other athletes that are set to be featured are USWNT star Alex Morgan, Jamaican Olympic Champion Usain Bolt, 15-time World Champion swimmer Katie Ledecky, and 11-time World Champion surfer Kelly Slater. There is no release date available for the series yet.

Hustle – Netflix

James is said to be teaming up with comedy legend Adam Sandler for this featured film in a producing role. The film will revolve around a fired NBA scout (Sandler) who is out to prove that he still has what it takes to get the job done. Based on the production team and Sandler’s reputation, This is sure to be yet another hit. LeBron’s expertise should help enhance the film’s details along the way. There is still no expected release date for the movie.

Space Jam: A New Legacy – Warner Bros. Pictures

The highly anticipated sequel to the Michael Jordan classic, Space Jam 2 is set to hit theaters July 16, 2021. While the original film debuted way back in 1996, the path towards a second film has had many twists and turns. LeBron is set to star as the main character in a new adventure with the classic Looney Tunes characters we’ve all grown up with. It took LeBron signing on to bring the dream back, and the inner child in me can’t wait!
