LBJ has gone full Hollywood. Reports are coming in that he is teaming up with mega-star Adam Sandler on an upcoming Netflix basketball comedy entitled “Hustle”.
James is teaming up with his business partner Maverick Carter to produce the comedy that will star comedy icon Sandler. It is being produced under their Springhill Entertainment group alongside Sandler’s Happy Madison banner with Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Zack Roth of Roth/Kirschenbaum Films.
From reports, Sandler is set to play an American basketball scout who was fired from the NBA and attempts to make a comeback by finding a talented player overseas. He’ll try and get that player to the US and push to get him to be an NBA star while at the same time reviving his own scouting career.
There is no clear indication that James will be starring in the film, but who knows, anything is possible. Also no word on the teams being mentioned in the movie yet as well. Cross fingers for the Lakers right?
For those who know, this isn’t James’ first splash into movies. If you remember, he played himself in the movie “Trainwreck” alongside Amy Schumer and Bill Hader and who can forget he lent out his voice for the animated movie “Smallfoot.” James is also set to star in the upcoming “Space Jam 2” next year.
