The Lakers have found themselves a gem in Anthony Davis. Not only is the man an absolute monster on the court, but he has also been great in the community. In his first year in Los Angeles, AD has gone out of his way to make sure to be involved.
In fact, the Lakers’ star is upping the ante during this hiatus from basketball. It was announced on Friday that Davis would be matching donations up to $250,000 to make sure that LA area hospital workers were well-fed and taken care of.

The COVID-19 virus that has swept across the world is making life difficult for everyone, but especially for people working in the medical field. Hospitals are flooded with people either suffering from the virus or people who believe they have contracted it. The Lakers’ Davis teamed up with Lineage Logistics, a company that supplies food to restaurants, to make sure hospital works are fed.
The commitment could amount to a quarter of a million dollars for Davis, depending on how donations go.
