In a weird second offseason, Lakers fans are searching for any sign of good news. LeBron James gave us some of that when he said on his Instagram live that he had hoped to stay in Los Angeles for the rest of his career. Now things get a little bit more interesting with the Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo.
In an Instagram live of his own, Giannis answered some fan’s questions and gave an update on his life. Basically, the man is just a bored as the rest of us. Things got very interesting when a fan asked the question ‘Aside from the Bucks, what is your favorite team’. Giannis’ girlfriend had a shocking answer for him.
I was a Lakers fan growing up.
That’s right, one of the best players in the world has a girlfriend who was a Lakers fan. What does that mean? Probably nothing, but Lakers fans cannot help but smile about ut during these uncertain times.

Giannis is set to become a free agent after next season, and there will be many teams that pursue him. While the Lakers likely do not have a shot at getting him in terms of money, it’s nice to know we have an insider in his camp…sort of.
