It was announced this morning by MLS that The 2020 MLS All-Star game taking place at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles, CA has been canceled.

The ASG was scheduled for July 29th which would have featured the best of MLS go head to head with the LIGA Mix all-stars. On top of the game itself, all festivities have been nixed as well.

Banc of California Stadium is a soccer-specific stadium in the Exposition Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. It is the home of Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles FC. Opened on April 18, 2018, it was the first open-air stadium built in the City of Los Angeles since 1962

According to MLS, the decision to cancel the game was difficult but understandable in regards to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Safety always comes as a top priority.

Luckily, tickets to attend the ASG in Los Angeles haven’t gone on sale yet, but fans who purchased tickets to the Skills Challenge via Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded. According to Ticketmaster refunds could take up to 2 weeks to be processed. For those fans who purchased tickets at the stadium in cash will be refunded once regular business hours resume once the venue reopens.

The MLS 2021 All-Star Game is set to be at the same location inside Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles, CA.
