It’s no secret that fans have been restless when waiting for the Dodgers to break the 32-year title drought. Year after year, the hope is at an all-time high during Spring Training, only to be let down in October once again. Just imagine the pain and longing for that elusive title that the players were feeling year in and year out.
Clayton Kershaw was one of those players. The longtime Dodger has been a part of the whole 9-year run and has been haunted by a so-called “playoff curse.” However, Kershaw defied the narrative and silenced all doubts about his ability to perform in the playoffs. The 32-year old posted a 4-1 record with a 2.93 ERA, 37 strikeouts, and a 0.91 WHIP in 30.2 postseason innings this year.
While all celebrations for the Dodgers have been postponed until further notice, it hasn’t stopped Clayton from his very own celebration. During SportsNetLA’s ‘This Is Our Year’ special, Kershaw revealed what he does every morning.

Justin Turner, who was also apart of the special, confirmed that Kershaw was telling the truth.
“Before I answer that, Kersh definitely texted me the other day and said, ‘Bro I have ‘We Are the Champions’ on repeat every day.’ He wasn’t lying about that.”
When you’re arguably the best pitcher of your generation and finally capture that elusive title you have been after for years, you can listen to the song on repeat for as long as you want. The one Dodger who deserved this honor the most can finally rest easy for now knowing he accomplished the ultimate goal.
