Dodgers: Support Gavin Lux in the MLB The Show Players League

No baseball has been one of the more difficult aspects during this stay at home order. I’m pretty sure many of us would love to at least watch the Dodgers put their NL West rivals in their places.

In a way, we actually can.

MLB has been hosting an “MLB The Show” Players League with the SIE San Diego Studio developed video game, MLB The Show20. The league features 30 players who are representing their teams as they compete in a reduced season of 29 three-inning games. The Dodgers are being represented by top prospect, Gavin Lux. Lux made his major league debut late last year at 22 years old after tearing up the minor leagues.

Just as he has impressed us with his talent on the field, he is going the same at home with the second-best record in the league (14-5) trailing only Texas Rangers slugger Joey Gallo (17-3). He’s also holding off San Diego Padres Shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. (13-6) for control of the NL West.

The tournament which started on April 10th will run until every player has faced off at least once. All players will also automatically receive $5,000 to a Boys & Girls Club in their area donated by MLB, MLB Players Association, and Sony Interactive Entertainment.

The top eight players will then advance to a postseason round, which is scheduled to start on April 30, with the winner earning an additional $25,000 donation to a Boys & Girls Club affiliate.

Dodgers fans can get front row seats of Lux’s games through multiple streaming sites which included YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, and Facebook Live.

Catch Gavin Lux battle it out and win it for not only us Dodgers fans but the hundreds of kids that could be impacted at the Dodgers Boys & Girls Club affiliate if he can reign supreme int he league.
