Dodgers: Max Muncy Thanks Fans and Reflects on 2019 Season

Dodgers slugger Max Muncy finally came out of social media hibernation to reflect on his big 2019 season. Indeed, Mad Max was thankful to the fans, even if he still seems to be not quite ready for the season to be over.

From Muncy on his Instagram.

Been putting this post off for awhile because it doesn’t feel like it should be happening yet. Although the season came to an end sooner than it should have, it doesn’t take away from some of the feats we were able to accomplish this year. Thank you to LA and the fans, once again y’all proved you are the best fans in all of baseball! My family and I had an absolute blast repping Blue yet again this year! Stay with us, we will be back next year!

The 29 year-old had an impressive followup to his breakout 2018 season. He slugged 35 home runs in 141 games. He also added 98 runs batted in and 101 runs scored while working his way around a wrist fracture late in the season.

His HR, RBI, and runs totals are good for top-15 in the National League.

Along the way, Max earned his first All-Star berth in 2019 and teamed up with eventual NL Rookie of the Year and MVP candidate Pete Alonso for this electric play in the game.

He also provided us a number of fantastic quotes this past season, most famous of which was the “go get it out of the ocean” clap back to Giants ace Madison Bumgarner.

Thank you for the big hits and big time bat flips, Max!
