Dodgers: Casey Sadler Receives Message From Unexpected Source

Dodgers relief pitcher Casey Sadler received a pretty cool, if not unexpected video message from Brad Paisley on Monday as the team prepares for the upcoming postseason run.

Paisley, an outspoken Dodgers fan, encouraged Sadler to “go all the way” with the team this October. The country music superstar was joined by Steve Shenbaum of “Game on Nation” for the motivational message.

Paisley has also lent helping hands to Clayton and Ellen Kershaw in various charitable efforts over the world. Moreover, Brad and his wife Kimberly were the recipient of this year’s “Kershaw’s Challenge Impact Award” for their philanthropic efforts.

Sadler’s Time With the Dodgers

Sadler started the season on a minor league deal with the Tampa Bay Rays before being called up in mid-April. The Dodgers, seeking bullpen relief, then traded for him on July 3 after he was DFA’d just a few days before.

Regardless of if he’s on the Dodgers’ soon to be announced playoff roster, Sadler put together a convincing argument for himself during his time on the team.

He finished the season with a 2.33 ERA in 24 appearances and was a much-needed addition to a bullpen that experienced many hardships over the course of the season.

Let us know what you think below! Should Sadler be included in the Dodgers’ playoff roster?
