Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen picked up save number 32 on the season on Wednesday night in San Diego. He retired the Padres in order on 11 pitches and with it, moved up on the career saves list.

Number 300 actually ties him for 28th place on the all-time saves list alongside Jason Isringhousen and Hall of Famer Bruce Sutter. Of course, Jansen already holds the Dodgers all-time record in saves, surpassing Eric Gagne’s mark of 161.
Hall of Famer, and former Yankee Mariano Rivera own baseball’s the all-time saves record with 652.
The much maligned Dodgers closer may be in the midst of a rough 2019 season, but has pitched better in the month of September with a 3.48 ERA in 10 games. Wednesday night marked the first time since May 30-31 that Jansen had recorded saves in consecutive contests.
In 10 seasons, Kenley has accumulated a 2.36 ERA in 604 games and 610.2 innings pitched. On Tuesday night in San Diego, he picked up career strikeout number 900.
