Clippers News: L.A. To Sign Joakim Noah For Remainder of Season

The Los Angeles Clippers are planning to keep veteran center Joakim Noah for the rest of the season. They will be signing him next week to a new contract that secures his spot on the roster.

Noah is currently on a 10-day contract that is supposed to expire on June 23rd. If you remember, Noah signed with the Clips just two days before the coronavirus shut down on March 11. He hasn’t even debuted as a Clipper yet!

Yes, Noah’s 10-day contract is pretty much the lengthiest one in NBA history. Both interesting and sad because of the reality of it.

Noah, 35, had had two All-Star selections (2013,14) and has was named Defensive Player of The Year in 2014.

Noah can bring experience and skill to an already stacked lineup. Kinda sad to see the season end up the way it did. But, the Clippers are one of 22 teams that are scheduled to resume play in Orlando at the end of July so we’ll see!
