Every year NFL Network releases a list of its Top 100 players heading into the new season. On Sunday NFL Network released players 71- 100 on the list with the Chargers star Keenan Allen finding himself at No. 77.
Allen found the rankings to be disrespectful to his talent after putting up 1,199 receiving yards in 104 receptions to go along with 6 touchdowns in 2019. To add to the fire, he ranked 38 on NFL’s list going into 2019. Allen took to Twitter Sunday night to express his disagreement, to put it lightly, with the rankings as well as to call out other NFL receivers who he felt were given generous rankings.
Ok I’m tired of biten my tongue…@cheetah @MikeEvans13_ @chrisgoodwin… ( and the list goes on) ARE NOT a better reciever than me! Faster than me…every day of the week but separation..CHILD PLEASE! https://t.co/rBQwJZWkE3

In his tweet, he calls out Tampa Bay teammates Chris Godwin and Mike Evans who have yet to be ranked but are likely to either today or within the next couple of days. Upon seeing Allen’s issue, the duo took to Twitter to respond while Tyreek Hill opted not to retaliate.
You tagged the wrong Chris Godwin lol and don’t be mad at us we ain’t make the rankings or care about em. I like the confidence but be realistic you not on my level bro https://t.co/AONodMpfkW

NFL Network isn’t going to change their Top 100, which is voted upon by the players themselves so it’s up to Allen to show them during the season that they made a grave mistake. It may be tough to do so this season without a quality quarterback to feed him passes whether it be the veteran Tyrod Taylor or rookie, Justin Herbert, down the line. Allen certainly has the talent to produce yet another standout season after 3 straight seasons of 1000+ receiving yards and 6 touchdowns regardless of who’s under center.
What do you think of the NFL Network’s ranking for Keenan Allen? Let us know in the comments!
