Charger News: Bolts Resign Veteran Defensive End Damion Square

The Bolts have brought back an old friend in veteran DE Damion Square. On Monday, the hyped-up Square posted to his social media accounts that he was indeed coming back.

Square is returning to the Bolts in a very much needed veteran presence that will stand out in a defensive line. If you recall, Square can pretty much play any position in the D-Line but of course, he is mostly an interior defender. Do you remember when he played at the end spot in place of Joey Bosa in 2018? The Bolts do.

The crazy thing is in that 2018 season, Square was intense and collected 31 tackles, three for loss, 3 sacks, and a handful of deflections at the line. I’m sure he’s looking for higher numbers this season as he can only get better, am I right?

If you don’t know who Damion Square is, he has been part of the Chargers organization since the 2014 season. He entered the NFL in 2013 with the Philly Eagles, but also spent some time with the Kansas City Chiefs before finding a home with the Chargers.
