Chargers News: LA’s Hunter Henry Earns College Degree

Chargers tight end Hunter Henry fulfilled a promise he made to his wife and mom after being drafted by the Chargers out of Arkansas in 2016.

Henry played three years at his alma mater, 2013-2015, before electing for the draft. His last year he won the John Mackey Award after having a dominant year that saw him become one of the best tight ends in the country.

Upon leaving Arkansas he promised that he would return and earn his degree alongside his younger brother Hayden Henry who also and played for the Razorbacks.

He took to Twitter to acknowledge his accomplishment.

Although Henry missed all of 2018 due to an ACL injury, he came back and put up respectable numbers in 2019. He figures to be a key piece in the Chargers offense this season as they try and move on in the post-Rivers era. When Henry decides to call it quits, he’ll have a degree that could help take him anywhere.
