According to numerous reports, the Dodgers have signed third baseman Kody Hoese from Tulane University to a full-slot deal of more than $2.7 million.

Hoese, 22, was an All-American this season and posted some insane marks: .391 batting average, .486 on-base percentage, and .779 slugging percentage to go along with 23 homers and 61 runs batted in.

He displays some major power potential to go along with a great eye and great instincts at third base. He could most definitely be the heir to Justin Turner’s spot at the hot corner if Hoese lives up to his potential.

The pick has been well-regarded in the draft community and could represent a major boost to the farm after losing out on signing RHP JT Ginn, who was selected by Los Angeles with the 30th overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft.
